ON DUBLIN'S DOORSTEP

COUNTY WICKLOW
IRELAND'S MOST LOVED TREASURE

A rewarding low mileage holiday

On Dublin’s doorstep resides one of Ireland’s most loved treasures; the Wicklow Mountains. Perhaps the most accessible of all Ireland’s counties, Wicklow offers a mixture of moorland hills adjacent to the sandy beaches of the east coast interspersed with historic buildings and gardens all demanding your attention.

County Wicklow is ideal for those wanting a low mileage holiday, but is no less rewarding for it.

Route highlights

The mountain scenery is easily accessible through country lanes that criss-cross the moorland hills and open up access to areas such as the valley of Glendalough with its 6th century monastic ruins. Russborough House & Powerscourt provide grand historic homes with beautifully maintained grounds whilst Mount Usher Gardens provides a serene atmosphere that everyone can enjoy.

Whilst it is possible to visit the bustling streets of Dublin using the DART train service, it is also worth exploring the seaside towns of Dun Laoghaire and Bray for a bit of coastal air.
